Wedding MCs moving through the timeline of events

Importance of Having an MC Move Through Your Timeline of Events

Once all of the years worth of preparation is finished and it’s time for the big day, there’s only one thing left to do: execute. That’s where our experienced MCs come in, providing you with peace of mind and clarity for the big day.

From seating guests at the ceremony to the last call for alcohol, there’s a lot of action and information that needs to be addressed in between.

We make sure to confirm the timeline with the wedding planner, caterer, venue coordinator, and whoever else needs to be involved so everyone is on the same page throughout the entire day and night.

We’ll typically start telling guests to find their ceremony seats about thirty minutes before the procession begins, with additional “announcements” every 10 minutes. We’ll ensure the correct information with the officiant so they can direct guests where to go following the ceremony.

This usually leads us to cocktail hour, and we’ll start telling guests to find their tables for dinner as this “hour” winds down.

Guests usually need more reminders than you might think, so we make sure to keep them informed in a direct, and tasteful manner.

After cocktail hour, things tend to take directions in every which way depending on your preferences. Regardless of the timeline, we inform your guests of where they need to turn their attention. Whether that be:

  • Reception introduction
  • Dismissing tables for buffet
  • Cake cutting
  • First Dance – Mother/Son Dance – Father/Daughter Dance
  • Speeches
  • Etc.

Our main focus is to keep your guests well-informed, minimize any “down time”, and keep you at the center of attention.

Having an enthusiastic, flexible, and knowledgeable MC at your wedding will ensure a smooth and seamless evening that will be remembered forever. Thank you for watching and moving through this video like our MCs at your wedding.
